Kids Yoga (5-7 Years Old)


This class is taught by:
Yoga benefits children in multiple ways, affecting both the body and mind
• Strength Yoga strengthens the muscles and joints
• Breath Awareness Children and tweens can begin to learn that they can change their feelings by controlling their breath depth and pattern
• Focus Meditation and breath work increases concentration
• Balance Through balancing work, positive and negative energies are stabilized and calm the nervous system
• Body Awareness By manipulating the body in various yoga poses, the yogi begins to understand the body’s limitations and connections between movement, flexibility and strength
• Self Esteem Yogis are taught to respect their bodies and understand their uniqueness. Positive self-imagery and language are highly encouraged
