Summertime Fitness Tips To Keep You Motivated Towards Reaching Your Goals!

It's summertime Riders! That means more sunshine, longer days, hotter temperatures, cookouts and social events. Which makes it tougher for us to find that balance between summer fun & a healthy lifestyle. We have some tips to keep you motivated and healthy throughout the summer months!!

Set a goal for yourself!
  • Here at Prime Cycle we have the SUMMER GAME BOARD CHALLENGE. Challenge yourself to ride 6 out of 9 instructors, once completed you receive a $20 gift card to Prime. Reward yourself with more classes, clothing or even cycling shoes!
  • Sign up for a race in the fall! Spinning is great cross training to incorporate into your program
  • Challenge yourself but taking X amount of classes a month

          Bring on that H2O & stay hydrated 
  • During the summer, it's important to drink more fluids to stay properly hydrated
  • Before a workout, drink ice cold water to cool down your body temperature 
  • Drink 7-10 ounces every 10-20 minutes during your workout
  • Watermelon is a great post workout snack, filled with essential rehydration salts, calcium, magnesium, potassium and sodium to help you stay hydrated.

Bring a Buddy!
  • Exercising with a buddy will motivate you towards reaching your fitness goals. Exercising while hanging out with your friend, what else can you ask for?!
  • Here at Prime Cycle we offer a Referral Program, it's a great way to bring your buddy. Bonus...you'll also get a free class for referring him/her.
  • Having a workout buddy will push you harder & improve your stats. After class you both can head over to brunch in town and go over your stats. {Whoever won, pays for the waiters tip}
